It's Sophie Dahl, did you guess right? She's the model and author who was discovered in London by the late Isabella Blow while crying on the steps outside her flat after a row with her mother - she'd been expelled from her high school (and still won't tell us why! I like that about her.) Her grandfather was the late Roald Dahl, if you didn't know. There's just something about her you can't help but love.
I'm so happy to see her come into her own. When she was sent out on the runways as 'the heavy girl', she always looked as if she was too conscious of her role as the novelty act. Then she lost the weight and became slim and everyone claimed to be disappointed that she looked like a 'real' model. Well poo to all of them, she's obviously happy and well and she doesn't even need the modelling. She's a writer and an enchanting one, too.
She's done a video for Amazon about the book and if this doesn't sell you on it, nothing will.

Brilliant. I had to click through... I guess I should know more about this glamorous person but maybe "cover of Vogue" is all I need to know...

Oops. My bad. I just read more closely (instead of just looking at the pictures). I have heard a bit about her. What a fascinating life she must have.
