Is anyone else really, really glad to see the back of 2015? I am. For me, the madness came down to a kitchen reno and a few other upgrades. It all worked out in the end (as you'll soon see), but the toll it took...it pretty much wiped out my year. I've recently been following a program to get my focus back - whether I ever had it in the first place is questionable! - and it's working. It's a book called Mindfulness for Creativity by Dr. Danny Penman and although I'm only in the second week of the program it's already made such a difference in clearing my brain of the swirling thoughts that fight each other constantly and knock each other out so no one wins. How relieved I am to find out that all of that chaotic stuff is not just 'me'! I'll save my notes for the review but in the meantime here's a podcast featuring Dr. Penman talking about the book. Maybe it will help you too. Either way, find something that will help you tackle the obstacles that stand in the way of feeling good about yourself and making progress with whatever is you want to get on track.
Cheers to a happy and creative 2016!
