Oh, You Divine Bloggers!

DivineI was delighted to find out I received this lovely Divine award from our gorgeous girl at The Anthology (thank you! thank you!) and now it's my turn to pass it on and adhere to the rules of the Divine tag and list my five guilty pleasures.

So here we go!

5. Coke. Not Diet, Not Zero, Not Max. Gimme all the bad stuff. It is so nasty for the body but if that's the worst thing I do, is it really that bad? However, I'm not one of those Coke freaks who drinks half a case a day, though I used to have a case in my car at any given time. Friends found that amusing. And if I ever accidentally swallow a nail my consumption may come in handy.

4. Reading on the toilet. I don't need to elaborate, do I?

3. Watching TV too late and not going to bed like a proper human being. I'm trying to be better at that, though. I find if I go to bed at 8 or 9 pm I will wake up naturally at 6 am, raring to go. However, that isn't likely to happen every day. When will I watch Peep Show, The Sarah Silverman Program, Coleen's Real Woman, Project Runway or Law and Order: SVU, then?

2. Eating chips, as in French fries. When we lived in Paris I ate them nearly every day, they were so good at the cafe near our apartment and still I seek the perfect frite here, back in England. I'd say cupcakes, too, but dammit I won't allow myself to feel even a twinge of guilt about enjoying the prettiest of the cakey treats!

1. Shopping. DUH! For myself and my daughter. I'm not someone who has 100 pairs of shoes but there's always something we 'need', isn't there? I love shopping for others, too, though I tend to buy what I like to share a bit of myself but that's very dangerous and I have to avoid the 'one for you, one for me' urge!

And now, I pass on the award to these Divine bloggers:

Le Style et la Matiere - The feelings I get when I'm in Paris are the same as what I get from this blog, written by the most thoughtful and inspired Parisian. So no wonder I love it! She appreciates the beauty in the things around her but also sees what's behind it. And that's what makes it special.

Brigadeiro - Food, great personal style and beautiful photography. And this girl has a most covetable bag collection! A real treat.

Pink Bow - If her new blog look can't be described as divine, nothing can. It's just heavenly, with posts to match.

Sterling Style - I love her banner and her mix of her own style shots with current fashion images. She's fun!

Bobbins and Bombshells - A vintage-focussed blog that brings us retro influences in today's fashion, music, or wherever it can be found. Always an eyeful.

Have a visit if you're not familiar and see what I mean!

Thank you so much for the award and including me in such great company!! I now have some new blogs to follow. And Congrats on the award yourself! You are a doll!

Oh, thank you! Congrats and I will add this to my post today! I will chack out the other great blogs!

Well deserved, Denise!

I would like to add cheese curds and gravy to the chips you're talking about -- my guilty pleasure is even worse than fries. It's poutine.

French fries...I can't resist them!

My goodness! When I first started reading your guilty pleasures, I had to read the first sentence twice! I was thinking "wow how insanely bold of here to mention snorting coke". Hahaha glad that was not the case.

Oh my! Thank you so much for the generous award & sweet words!!! :) I am trying to think of 5 guilty pleasures to post as I type, hehe...Loved reading yours!

P.G. Oh, wow!! That would certainly be bold! If that were the case, I think that would have to be moved to the #1 guilty pleasure, for sure! Ha!
