Instant Wardrobe Makeover
Looking at Lyn Devon's presentation for Fall 2009, I'm thinking I could take the 16 or so piece collection, ditch what I've already got, and have everything I need. And be thrilled with it. (Of course I would never chuck the wardrobe but should BA ever lose my suitcases I may find myself looking for a no-brainer solution, and this would be more than a consolation). It covers every occasion and every mood, and that, I believe, is what's being referred to EVERYWHERE as "investment shopping". Recessionista expressions aside (including 'recessionista'), it's simply brilliant - take lovely lilac, a wonky, oversize houndstooth print and a floral print inspired by vintage wallpaper and make dresses, jackets and pants, add a few flirty and versatile dresses and some mix and match tops and skirts - and you're done. Notice a lack of accessories - these outfits don't need it. Just add one or two understated belts to finish it off.
And I like the 'Yes, I look good now let's get on with it' attitude suggested here. (I said 'get on with it', not 'let's get it on'. But you can take it however you please.)
