Can I Get These in My Size, Please
I love dresses. And my daughter loves dresses (and I love that). I'm always on the lookout for simple, gorgeous styles that don't break the bank and fit into my 'wear dresses every day' resolution (nothing to do with New Years, I just love the idea of wearing them for everything. Sorry Coco. But your hard work revolutionising womenswear wasn't in vain - I think it's easier to go all out when one has the choice).
I've just discovered the most delicious shop for little girls' dresses, all handmade with vintage inspired fabrics and design, from Kristin Rasmussen's label Mette which is sold on Etsy. Each style is made in small numbers by Kristin herself in her Vancouver home, and I imagine she must get her daily inspiration from her beautiful daughter, who also makes a great model. Sizes run from one to six and custom orders are happily accommodated. The prices are generously reasonable for these adorable, fashionable, well-made dresses that are fully lined, with invisible zippers and hems, and fabrics that include wools and cashmere. And those incredible structured sleeves that remind me of McQueen. Add to cart.
Kristin also has a vintage shop for women on Etsy, and you can keep up with her on her blog. You might want to make a point of that as Kristin will be focussing on womenswear for spring/summer, influenced by vintage style. I will be watching very closely and eagerly awaiting the spring thaw...

gorgeous dresses- have you seen this other Vancouver dress label?

Hi Sarah! Thanks for the tip, I've just enquired with them about more for little boys, I have friends desperate for more interesting options for their little guys, they are lamenting their inability to indulge their fashion whims through them! xo
