Mackage Knows Leather
I wrote a post on Mackage's gorgeous coats recently and focussed on the warm, winter styles and in doing so left out their equally impressive leathers (thanks for the reminder, Nicole!). Their signature detail is leather trim but when they go full-on with the skins the result is a great leather jacket, with all of the detail you get in the wool coats, including the collar styling options which really transform the overall look of the jacket.
Though I really do have a packed wardrobe of coats and jackets I can't wait to see what's coming for spring, they always do short, compact styles that are loaded with detail yet come off as effortless and easy. And rival that of the best fashion houses at a fraction of the price. Which is why if you do don't already, you must get to know Mackage. (By the way, don't try to look up what Mackage means in French as I fruitlessly did when I first discovered them - it doesn't exist. It comes from cofounder/designer Eran's niece's mispronunciation of 'maquillage'!)
