YAY!!! Leanne Marshall Wins Project Runway!!!

LeannePR5_7

Leanne Marshall no longer has to worry about where her rent money is coming from! Despite a few close calls before her NY fashion week debut, such as her muse model cleaning her little doggie's poop off the floor while wearing her floor-length runway dress, and a top stretching two sizes larger from over-steaming, she was a full-on pro and her collection fit in marvellously alongside the NY fashion week veterans. The colours were so fresh and beautiful, the craftsmanship superb, and her vision so original and forward-thinking (half the collection used sustainable fabrics, you know!). Overall, truly dreamy, gorgeous, feminine clothes. Leanne worked so hard and really deserved her win.

Leanne_firstlook I had such a good time watching this final episode, I laughed like a hyena when Kenley (who has a huge chip on her frilled shoulder and really needs to familiarise herself with McQueen and Balenciaga - if she hasn't already...hmmm....) got snarky again with Tim Gunn, evoking the most hilarious reaction - an exasperated and perplexed 'what is up her crinoline' scowl as he turned to walk away.

Jennifer Lopez ditched her post as celebrity judge at the last minute (supposedly due to a foot injury which you know is code for 'my pedicurist cancelled on me') and so was replaced by Tim, who I would much rather have at my show ANY day.

We're so proud of you, Leanne, we can't wait to see where you take this. Congratulations!

(I'll give you a little bit of time before I come after you for my dress!!!)
