I love men's tennis and I love bananas, especially when mushed up and cooked in banana bread (there's my justification for this post):
Raging tennis star Andy Murray has published his aptly titled autobiography Hitting Back at the tender age of 21. According to the The Guardian, the British #1 criticises his fellow Brit players saying there is "something wrong with their mentality and work ethic". He adds, "There doesn't seem to be anyone who's brutally honest about it either. I think the best way is to confront it, especially when it has been bad for so long." Well, well! Understandably, these statements are causing quite a raucous in the tennis world which is par for the course with the stroppy lad.
But the tongue lashing doesn't end there. Inexplicably, he takes out his frustrations on an innocent fruit. The nourishment of choice between games for many of the sport's top players, the banana was forced to withstand a thorough bollocking when Murray implied they are 'slow': "Players sit there and eat them at changeovers, but it can't be to give them energy because they take ages to digest."
It gets worse. He deals the final blow with his admission, "To be honest, I think bananas are a pathetic fruit." And there I thought he'd name Tim Henman as a much more convincing example.

hAha! that's funny. Poor banana's! I love banana's!
I'll have to share my banana bread recipe with you. It's low fat and made with rum and a coconut lime glaze. mmmm mmmmm!!!

For real? All he had to talk about was bananas? Interesting. Can I get that banana bread recipe too? It sounds lovely.

I know. I guess when you've got an autobiography at 21 there's not much to talk about! For a guy who survived the Dunblane school massacre at 8 years old you'd think he'd enjoy life a bit more?
Yummy banana bread recipe coming soon!

Andy Murray is to tennis as Heidi Montag is to fashion. Unfortunately, the media in the UK worship this dunce for some reason. There is a 'jolly-good show' aspect to the British national sporting psyche that not only loves losers (see 'Tiger' Tim Henman, the English football team, and the English cricket team) but actually prefers losing to winning.
Fortunately, with his delusions of grandeur aided and abetted by a clueless UK sports media, Murray will be able to provide them with many more years of soul crushing defeats at the hands of more skillful (and likeable) opponents.
